You will work closely with the team to keep records accurate, processes efficient, and ensure reporting and compliance requirements are met. The role supports varying experience levels from junior to senior accountants.

Qualifications

• We are seeking candidates with qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Experience with invoicing, reconciliations and financial record keeping is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy are essential for this hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Manage day-to-day email communications relating to accounting and financial matters.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, accounts and ledgers.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Process payroll accurately and on time.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Assist with ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation and regulations.
• Prepare and assist with financial reports and accounting information as required.
• Work closely with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures.
• Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as required.

Job description

TP Dynamics is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Canberra.

We are open to candidates at different stages of their accounting career, from junior accountants looking to develop their skills through to experienced accountants who can bring strong technical knowledge and contribute to improving our financial processes.

This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll and general financial administration. You’ll work closely with the team to ensure our financial records are accurate, processes are efficient, and reporting and compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

Process invoices and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities

Manage day-to-day email communications relating to accounting and financial matters

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, accounts and ledgers

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and takes pride in getting the details right.

Depending on your level of experience, you may be responsible for a range of accounting tasks or take a more senior role in supporting and improving our accounting functions.

Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field

Previous experience in an accounting role is desirable, but we welcome candidates with varying levels of experience

Experience with invoicing, reconciliations and financial record keeping

Experience with payroll processing or a willingness to learn

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
