VCFO Accountants in Sydney is seeking a Junior Accountant to support tax returns, financial transactions and report analysis, contributing to client growth.

As part of a collaborative team, you’ll gain exposure to budgeting, statements preparation and regulatory compliance while developing your accounting skills in a hands-on role within a specialist CFO services practice.

Formación

• Currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business/Commerce in final year.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Xero is a plus but not essential.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Motivated to support small to medium businesses.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Post routine entries and financial transactions to the general ledger.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly activity statements.
• Support budget preparation and budget reviews.

• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with taxation legislation
• Perform routine entries and post financial transactions to the general ledger
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist in the preparation of monthly & quarterly activity statements
• Help with budget preparation and budget reviews
• Analyse financial data and create reports for management
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information

Qualifications:

• Currently studying a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce in their final year at university
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• May have some experience with Xero (not essential)
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Are passionate about supporting small to medium businesses
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
