Job summary

Kelly+Partners Western Sydney is hiring a Junior Accountant based in Penrith. You will work closely with senior leaders to prepare financial statements, manage tax obligations, and support clients across diverse entities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Chartered Accounting practice.
• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CA commencement or willingness to start with firm support.
• Familiarity with practice management platforms and quick adaptability to new systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Complete BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT, and PAYG obligations.
• Manage payroll tax and workers compensation reconciliations.
• Liaise with statutory authorities and support clients.
• Participate in team events and monthly tax updates.
• Support a culture of growth, accountability, and shared success.

About You

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Chartered Accounting practice
• Completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Commenced your CA, or eager to get started — we'll back you the whole way
• Familiarity with practice management platforms like MYOB AE, APS, HowNow, Active Ledger, Xero, and QuickBooks — or a strong aptitude for picking up new systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude
