Job summary

Camp Chef is seeking a reliable Utility to join a small team servicing regional campsites. The role involves meal preparation, cleaning, camp support, and guiding other general hands. This position is suitable for a CDP or Commis Chef and is remote in nature.

You will prepare meals, uphold food safety and hygiene standards, and assist across camp services. Leadership duties and relief responsibilities are part of the role, along with transporting products between sites and overseeing staff/staff

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
• FIFO or DIDO experience is required.

About the role:

We are seeking a reliable Camp Chef (Utility) to join a small team servicing regional campsites. This role is hands‑on and varied, involving meal preparation, cleaning, general camp support, and providing day‑to‑day guidance to other general hands. This role would be suitable for a CDP or Commis Chef.

• Assist with cleaning, food service, and general camp duties as required

Qualifications:

• Cert III in commercial cookery (desirable) or relevant qualification
• Previous experience in FIFO or DIDO (is required)
• Up to 5 years’ experience in camp, bulk‑catering, or similar environments.
