Job summary

ARRCS in Darwin is seeking a reliable Camp Chef to lead a small kitchen team servicing regional campsites. The role involves meal preparation, hygiene, and day-to-day guidance to general hands in a hands-on outdoor setting.

The successful candidate will have Cert III in commercial cookery (desirable) and FIFO/DIDO experience, with up to 5 years’ camp or bulk-catering work; you'll ensure food safety and staff supervision in remote camp environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in line with approved menus and dietary requirements.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with cleaning, food service, and general camp duties as required.
• Provide leadership and support to general hands.
• Perform relief duties and assist across camp services.
• Drive staff and transport products between sites as required.
• Oversee staff and guest accommodation standards.
• Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
