Join yourtown’s Inclusive Employment Australia team to help young people living with disability build confidence, develop skills and move towards meaningful, sustainable employment. As a Job Development Coach, you’ll coach, motivate and empower young people to achieve their employment goals.

No two days are the same, with activities including coaching, preparing for interviews and connecting with local employers.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• A genuine passion for helping young people living with disability succeed.
• Confidence communicating with young people, employers and community stakeholders.
• A positive, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Confidence working towards KPIs and outcomes.
• Sound administration and digital skills.
• Initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coaching young people to build confidence, independence and work readiness
• Developing personalised employment goals and action plans
• Identifying barriers and finding practical solutions
• Connecting young people with employers and employment opportunities
• Supporting participants through applications, interviews and into employment
• Providing ongoing support to help achieve sustainable employment outcomes
• Working towards meaningful KPIs and employment outcomes
