Job summary

HiTech Personnel is assisting a High Profile Federal Government Department in Canberra to recruit a Java Developer for an initial 12-month contract with potential extension. The role focuses on delivering critical applications and services with a hybrid work arrangement and competitive hourly rates.

You will develop using Java, JEE frameworks (Spring), configure deployment environments (Tomcat) on Unix/Windows, and work within an established team to uplift systems and implement new features,

Qualifications

• Experience developing business systems in Java using JEE frameworks or Spring.
• Experience configuring and using development tools and setting up environments for Java applications on Unix/Windows.
• Proficiency with documenting, organizing information and presenting data using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for significant system/service uplift projects.
• Plan, develop, maintain and enhance systems, components and processes.
• Develop applications according to business requirements and project direction.
• Perform design, coding, review and testing to deliver upgrades or new features.
