Job summary

Sociable Tech Pty Ltd in Melbourne is hiring full-time Chefs for BASE cafe-bar-restaurant in Plenty Valley. You will prepare Italian and Modern Australian dishes, plan menus with the team, and help manage the kitchen to ensure quality and timely service.

The role is 38 hours per week, with weekend shifts and a flexible roster. Salary ranges from AUD 75,000 to 80,000 per year plus superannuation, dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chef – Diploma Level or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience with Italian and Modern Australian cuisine is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute menus with the other Chefs/owner.
• Assist in coordinating staff rostering.
• Prepare and cook all dishes on the menu with leadership to the kitchen team.
• Ensure quality and presentation of dishes by kitchen staff.
• Oversee kitchen operations to meet timelines and standards.
• Teach staff skills and onboard new team members.
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies for the kitchen.
• Maintain high food hygiene and safe storage practices.
