Job summary

Fraser Coast Anglican College in Hervey Bay is seeking an IT Support Officer to be the first point of contact for ICT support across the College, assisting staff and students with technology needs and helping ensure reliable services for teaching and daily operations.

You will work with a collaborative team and contribute to ICT projects, while maintaining user accounts, hardware configuration, and event support. A strong communication ability and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Valid Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card).
• Experience in a school or education environment is highly regarded.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, staff and students.
• Ability to work independently and solve basic IT issues.

Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of new and refurbished hardware.
• Assist the IT & AV Technician at key College events.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate IT Support Officer to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be the first point of contact for IT support across the College, providing technical assistance to staff and students, and contributing to the delivery of reliable technology services that support teaching, learning, and daily operations. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative team and make a meaningful contribution to the College community.

• Installation and configuration of new and refurbished hardware.
• Assist the IT & AV Technician at key College events.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of ICT projects.

Skills and experience required

• Certificate 3 in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Valid Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card).
• Experience working within a school or education environment is highly regarded.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a range and variety of people (teachers, staff and students).
• Ability to work independently and display initiative in solving basic IT issues.
