West Recruitment is partnering with an international manufacturing group in Australia to appoint an IT Support Engineer. You will work with a System Administrator and Head of Technology to deliver new technologies and provide frontline IT support for around 200 users.

The role covers end-user devices, infrastructure, and software; you will resolve level 1-2 issues, log Jira tickets, and contribute to hardware rollouts and location changes while ensuring security policies and project delivery.

Competenze

• Formal IT qualification or equivalent, with 2–5 years IT experience.
• Proactive communicator with hands-on Microsoft tech experience.
• Certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+ preferred.

Mansioni

• Respond to IT support requests (level 1-2) and resolve issues.

Your New Role

The IT Support Engineer is a newly created role that will work closely with a System Administrator as well as the Head of Technology, and will participate in the delivery of new technologies and products, whilst providing IT support and a high level of service to a user community of 200 people.. This role will see you work across end-user devices, infrastructure and software applications, ensuring reliability and performance.

The key tasks aligned to this role include:

• Respond to all IT support requests, resolving level 1-2 issues independently.
• Logging tickets using Jira
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related peripherals.
• Support end-user applications (Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, VPN, business apps).
• Troubleshoot both wired and wireless connectivity issues.
• Assess the complexity of each issue and elevate as required.
• Maintain asset registers for the IT environment.
• Ensure endpoint compliance with security policies (antivirus, updates, encryption).
• Play an active role in IT projects such as new hardware roll outs, implementations, location changes etc

About You

• Holding a formal IT qualification or working towards completion.
• Come to this position with between 2 and 5 years of experience in the IT industry.
• You hold or are studying towards industry certifications such as ITIL foundation, CompTIA A+
• You bring ‘hands on’ experience working within Microsoft environment, where you supported Windows Servers, Active Directory, Azure, Azure virtual desktop, SQL Server, Sharepoint & O365.
• You have a stable work history where you have honed your skills with the Microsoft technologies as well as ERP and CRM systems.
• You are a proactive communicator who shows initiative in the way you perform your role
