Job summary

Unison Solar Energy Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to design, optimise and integrate our IT environment, delivering secure, reliable and scalable solutions that support the business.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to enhance infrastructure, cloud platforms and core business systems, including SAP, CRM and WMS, driving performance, security and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ relevant IT experience.
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, optimisation and long-term planning of IT infrastructure and architecture.
• Design, implement and maintain secure, reliable and scalable infrastructure and network environments.
• Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure and data centre projects, from design to go-live, monitoring and ongoing support.
• Oversee the technical operation, performance and stability of core business systems, including SAP, CRM, WMS and OA.
• Develop and maintain IT operations, information security and access-control frameworks.
• Govern external IT vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Infrastructure & Cloud:

Drive the design, delivery and optimisation of secure, scalable infrastructure across servers, networks, data centres and cloud environments.

Enterprise Systems:

Connect and optimise critical business systems including SAP, WMS, CRM and OA, delivering solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.

Security & Improvement:

Collaborate with stakeholders and technology partners to strengthen security, governance and operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, optimisation and long-term planning of the company’s IT infrastructure and architecture, including servers, networks, data centres, storage and cloud platforms.
• Design, implement and maintain secure, reliable and scalable infrastructure and network environments, providing senior-level technical support, troubleshooting and continuous improvement across infrastructure, cloud and business systems.
• Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure and data centre projects, from solution design and deployment through to go-live, monitoring and ongoing support.
• Oversee the technical operation, performance and stability of core business systems, including SAP, CRM, WMS and OA, ensuring reliable integration and data connectivity across business applications and third-party platforms.
• Develop and maintain IT operations, information security and access-control frameworks that support compliance, resilience and effective risk management.
• Manage and provide technical governance for external IT vendors, implementation partners and service providers, ensuring quality, performance and delivery against agreed requirements

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering or a related discipline, with 5+ years’ relevant IT experience.
• Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, including Windows/Linux servers, storage, virtualisation, A D, Azure AD, Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms.
• Solid network architecture and administration experience, including enterprise networks, wireless, cross-site connectivity, DNS/DHCP and routing protocols.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture, system integration and data connectivity, with experience supporting SAP, OA, WMS and CRM environments.
• SAP experience, including knowledge of at least one core module (e.g. FICO, MM or SD), with the ability to provide technical governance and manage external SAP partners.
• Strong knowledge of IT security, access control, backup, compliance and operational governance, including audit and remediation support.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, accountable and service-focused approach.
• Relevant professional certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco or equivalent) and Mandarin proficiency are highly desirable.
