Job summary

The Sax Institute in Sydney (Glebe) is seeking an IT Manager to lead the secure, reliable operation of the SURE data platform and support researchers and partner organisations.

Based in our Glebe office with flexible hybrid arrangements, you will guide security posture, compliance and service delivery while building a high-performing team. This is a full-time, maximum-term contract for two years with generous salary packaging benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading IT strategy and operations in large organisations.
• Strong security, cyber risk and compliance track record.
• Proven vendor management and service delivery skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure, reliable operation of the SURE platform.
• Ensure ISO 27001:2022 certification is maintained.
• Provide expert technical advice for decision-making and service improvement.
• Deliver IT projects including upgrades and improvements.
• Manage key technology vendors and partnerships.
• Engage with researchers and data custodians to understand needs.
• Oversee performance and continuous improvement of the tech environment.
• Develop a high-performing IT team.
