Job summary

Stake is seeking a Senior Security Engineer in Sydney to join the Technology team. You will shape secure software across the org, lead high-impact security initiatives, and set standards to scale security practices. The role collaborates with Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk and Compliance, with a hybrid setup requiring three days in our Sydney office.

You will mentor engineers, influence architecture early, and build tooling to improve security across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex application security initiatives.
• Deep experience in application security and cloud-native architectures.
• Ability to influence decisions without formal authority.
• Mentoring engineers and raising security capability.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve secure engineering practices across Stake.
• Lead cross-team security initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams.
• Influence early architectural design decisions to balance security and velocity.
• Build security tooling and guardrails to identify risks before production.
