Job summary

Talent International is seeking an experienced IT Project Coordinator to join a large higher education technology transformation program in Sydney. You will work with IT Project Managers and cross-functional teams to coordinate a diverse portfolio of enterprise technology projects, supporting schedules, resources, and governance.

You will focus on improving delivery practices, prioritisation, and reporting, while engaging senior stakeholders and leveraging JIRA or similar tools to support

Qualifications

• University or higher education experience required.
• Experience supporting enterprise IT or technology projects and programs.
• Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle.
• Experience working with and interpreting project schedules.
• Strong coordination, organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

IT Project Coordinator

Higher Education Technology Transformation

An opportunity has become available for an experienced IT Project Coordinator to join a large and complex higher education environment undergoing significant digital transformation.

Working closely with IT Project Managers and cross functional technology teams, you’ll coordinate a varied portfolio of technology projects supporting both staff and students. The role will have exposure across project scheduling, resources, cost forecasting, governance, reporting and continuous improvement of project delivery practices.

Previous experience working within a university, higher education or education environment is essential for this opportunity.

The Opportunity

This is more than a traditional project administration role. You’ll work alongside Project Managers across the full project lifecycle while helping improve the processes, tools and governance used to manage the broader IT portfolio.

You’ll support project schedules, resource planning and portfolio reporting, while coordinating across technology teams and senior stakeholders. You’ll also contribute to improving delivery practices, including workflows, prioritisation and the use of JIRA or similar service management tools.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally bring:

• Previous university, higher education or education sector experience, essential
• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise level IT or technology projects and programs
• Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle
• Experience working with and interpreting project schedules
• Strong project coordination, organisation and attention to detail
• Experience across risk and issue management, resource management and prioritisation
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including exposure to senior and C suite stakeholders
• Experience using JIRA or a similar service management tool
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to operate effectively within a complex and evolving environment
