Job summary

Guardian Childcare & Education is seeking a technically curious IT professional to be a hands-on SME across Guardian's core applications and Microsoft technologies. The role focuses on security, monitoring and automation, with engagement across Centre teams, Support Office, technology vendors and senior leaders.

Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney based, offering flexible hybrid work and opportunities to advance security expertise and certifications.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong experience supporting and administering the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Experience with Azure and/or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience with application and systems security.
• Exposure to SIEM, security monitoring and logging platforms within the Microsoft security ecosystem.
• Experience developing automation using PowerShell, Python or similar technologies.
• Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications, integrations, workflows and APIs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple systems and environments.
• Experience working with vendors and external technology partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Become a technical SME for Guardian's core applications and information systems.
• Support and administer Microsoft technologies including 365, Azure/Entra ID, and SharePoint.
• Provide Level 2/3 troubleshooting for complex issues.
• Monitor and improve Guardian's cybersecurity controls.
• Develop automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Design and support application workflows, integrations and data exchanges.
• Work with SQL databases and data sources for troubleshooting and development.
• Collaborate with vendors and technology partners to resolve incidents.
