Job summary

Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) is seeking an Associate Director, IT Operations to lead IT service delivery and operations. The role focuses on reliable, secure, cost-effective technology services and oversees MSP arrangements including the service desk and cloud engineering.

Reporting to the CITO, you will manage IT budgets and vendor contracts, mentor a small team and potentially act as CITO in their absence, while ensuring compliance and stakeholder communication across IBA.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated cultural capability with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT operations and service delivery.
• Experience managing service desk and service delivery via MSP (ServiceNow desirable).
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud, network and end-user computing.
• Proven budgets, procurement and large vendor contracts management.
• Experience in government using PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
• Strong risk management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executives and staff.
• Bachelor's or master's in IT or related field; ITIL/Prosci/ PMP certification desirable.
• Willingness to regional travel, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ICT managed service providers, including service desk and incident, change and asset management.
• Lead planning, implementation and maintenance of cloud, network and end-user computing systems.
• Manage ICT contracts: sourcing, negotiation, renewals and supplier performance.
• Oversee IT budgets, forecasts, invoices and performance metrics across IT operations.
• Communicate IT changes clearly to staff and stakeholders across IBA.
• Provide direction across IT Operations and act as CITO when required.
• Proactively manage operational risk and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team focused on engagement, innovation and accountability.
• Work in culturally informed and respectful ways with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander customers and staff.
