Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions Limited partners with a household Australian retail brand to appoint an experienced Infrastructure Manager in Melbourne. The role leads a 16-person team, driving strategy, modernization and operations across the traditional IT infrastructure stack at multiple sites, including 3 data centres and thousands of servers.

You will manage workload planning, budgeting, forecasting and vendor coordination, ensuring alignment with business objectives while strengthening backup,

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Infrastructure Management
• 10+ years experience in Infrastructure Engineering
• Ownership of department budgets and forecasting
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Strong knowledge of Storage, Backup & Recovery technologies
• Experience managing Data Centre technologies

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and strategic direction for Infrastructure Services
• Take ownership of planning, designing & implementing Infrastructure, back up & recovery technologies
• Perform workload management, project planning, forecasting and resource allocation
• Align technical activities with organizational strategic objectives
• Define and enhance business processes
• Develop robust processes for ongoing optimization of Infrastructure
• Manage a team of technical engineers to ensure operational and strategic needs are met
• Manage and maintain Infrastructure budgets
