Job summary

AustCorp Executive in Melbourne is seeking an Operations Manager to own and drive the technology & infrastructure operation. You will join a senior leadership team, directing projects, service delivery and commercial performance to support growth.

You will manage multi-stream delivery, lead technical and operational teams, and shape processes to improve margins and client satisfaction as the business scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a senior operations, delivery or similar management role.
• Experience managing multiple projects and service workstreams simultaneously.
• Strong commercial understanding of project delivery, contracts and service operations.
• Experience with budgets, forecasting and P&L management.
• Track record of improving productivity, utilisation, margins and delivery performance.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing technical or operational teams.
• Strong stakeholder and client-management skills.
• Ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve issues quickly.
• Strong understanding of WHS, quality, risk and compliance.
• Practical, commercially minded approach to problem solving.
• Current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of project and service delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Leading and developing technicians, subcontractors and operational staff.
• Planning labour, resources, equipment and subcontractor requirements.
• Ensuring smooth transitions from sales into delivery for new work.
• Keeping projects on track commercially and operationally.
• Monitoring margins, costs, variations, productivity and resource utilisation.
• Building forecasts around revenue, margin, labour and capacity.
• Identifying delivery risks early and taking action.
• Working with sales and engineering to ensure proper scoping and resourcing.
• Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers and delivery partners.
• Improving systems, processes and reporting that underpin the operation.
• Developing the capability of the team and stronger operational structure.
• Identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships and support business development.
