ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of IT Analyst is to work with users across the business to ensure effective computer/end-point/systems operations so that end users can accomplish business tasks. This includes prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving end user service requests.

In this role you will be responsible for providing end user services, leading the roll out and implementation of technical solutions and infrastructure at a local level, in partnership with the Global and Regional IT teams

This role is based in Mascot, Sydney and will report to the Head of IT, ANZ

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide responsive, high-quality technical support to employees across Australia and New Zealand, delivering an exceptional end-user experience.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests across PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, Microsoft 365, applications, networks, Windows operating systems and other local and global systems.
• Provide remote technical support to employees across the ANZ region.
• Support employees to confidently use technology through ongoing guidance, training and new-hire IT orientation.
• Manage and prioritise requests through the IT Service Centre, ensuring users are kept informed of progress and resolution.
• Identify opportunities to improve the end-user experience, streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of IT services.
• Partner with Regional and Global IT teams to coordinate and implement new technologies, tools and infrastructure.
• Support local technology projects and initiatives from planning through to implementation.
• Manage multiple priorities, balancing day-to-day technical support with projects and business-critical requirements.
• Coordinate IT purchasing requirements and manage purchase requisitions as required.
• Support the planning, management and budgeting of IT equipment and technology requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing clear and timely updates on incidents, requests and projects.
• Ensure IT activities are performed in accordance with relevant company policies, security requirements and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate closely with IT colleagues locally, regionally and globally, sharing knowledge and contributing to a strong team environment.
• Support other Boston Scientific locations where required, which may include domestic and international travel.
• Provide occasional after-hours or weekend support where business requirements or technology implementations require it.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, combined with approximately five years of relevant IT experience.
• Demonstrated experience in an IT support or technology role with a strong customer service and end-user focus.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Hands-on experience supporting PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other end-user technology.
• Experience with technologies such as Microsoft Intune, Active Directory/Entra ID, SCCM, networks, server and storage infrastructure, and IT ticket management systems.
• Working knowledge of technologies such as Windows Server, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, VOIP and networking environments.
• Strong remote troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and identify practical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical information into clear, accessible language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with employees, stakeholders and technology teams at all levels of the organisation.
• Effective organisation, project management and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
