Job summary

KBM Advisory is seeking an experienced WHSEQ Auditor to join our team in a permanent role, servicing the Newcastle, Hunter Region, the Mid North Coast and Northern NSW regions.

You will conduct third-party certification, surveillance and recertification audits on behalf of a conformity assessment body, together with internal WHSEQ audits for KBM Advisory clients. The role requires independent work, strong audit reporting and travel across the service region.

Qualifications

• Lead Auditor certification (Exemplar Global) for QMS/EMS/OHSMS.
• Experience conducting ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits.
• Strong audit planning, evidence gathering and reporting.
• Understanding of impartiality, confidentiality and conflict-of-interest requirements.
• Valid class C driver licence and willingness to travel.
• Formal WHS, environmental management, quality, engineering, construction or related degree.
• Experience with integrated management system audits.
• Knowledge of ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal WHSEQ audits for KBM Advisory clients
• Review management system documentation and evaluate objective audit evidence
• Identify, substantiate and clearly communicate audit findings
• Conduct professional opening and closing meetings with clients
• Prepare accurate, evidence-based audit reports within required timeframes
• Comply with conformity assessment body procedures and maintain confidentiality, impartiality and independence
• Maintain accurate audit records, schedules, timesheets and associated documentation

About you

• Current Exemplar Global certification at Lead Auditor grade for QMS, EMS and OHSMS
• Demonstrated experience independently conducting and reporting management system audits against ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Strong audit planning, evidence-gathering and report-writing skills
• A sound understanding of auditor impartiality, confidentiality and conflict-of-interest requirements
• A current class C driver licence, access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel throughout the service region
• Previous demonstrated experience conducting audits on behalf of a conformity assessment body
• Formal qualifications in WHS, environmental management, quality, engineering, construction or related discipline
• Experience conducting integrated management system audits
• Knowledge of ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021-1 an advantage
