Job summary

Intertek SAI Global in Perth is seeking a Lead Auditor to manage external audits against ISO standards and related management systems. The role involves leading audit teams, developing audit plans, and delivering thorough audit reports across multiple industries.

Essential qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in Quality, OH&S and Environmental Management Systems, with strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently and in teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
• Experience conducting third-party audits.
• Experience across industries such as Construction, manufacturing, Engineering and Health Services.
• Ability to write reports clearly and answer client questions.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
• Ability to work effectively in audit teams and manage audits with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Interface with clients to ensure compliance with international standards.
• Engage in complex third-party audits requiring judgment.
• Develop audit plans and conduct audits with clients.
• Complete audit reports and perform follow-up activities.
• Coordinate with Senior Auditors, Client Relation Managers and Operations.
• Contribute to the strategic vision of SAI Global Assurance Services.
• Travel as required.

We are looking for a Lead Auditor based in Perth, interested in being a part of SAI Global - Intertek.

Our Management Systems Auditors, manage a portfolio of clients related to industry experience while conducting External Audits against internationally recognised standards in (but not limited to):

• ISO 9001:2015 - Management Systems
• ISO 45001:2018 - Occupational Health & Safety
• ISO 27001:2022 – Information Security Management

Auditors are responsible for ensuring audits are conducted in a timely and effective manner, employing the relevant risk assessment standards or assessment criteria, and maintaining the audit process rigor and technical integrity to meet internal and external accreditation requirements. They also:

• Interface directly with clients to ensure compliance to international standards
• Work on third-party audits that are complex where considerable judgment is required
• Develop audit plans, and conduct audit with the clients
• Complete audit reports and conduct follow-up activities when required
• Interface with SAI Senior Auditors, Client Relation Managers and Operations
• Contribute to the development and achievement of SAI Global Assurance Services’ strategic vision
• Travel as required

About You

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or University or equivalent education.
• Extensive full-time experience in the field of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Management Systems
• Experience conducting third-party audits
• In-depth experience across a broad range of industries e.g. Construction, manufacturing, Engineering and Health Services
• Good at dealing with all levels of a business from executives to operational levels
• Ability to write reports effectively present information and respond to questions from clients
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to work effectively in audit teams and manage individual audits with minimal supervision
