Job summary

BelgraviaPRO is seeking an experienced Chef to lead our café and function services at a coastal island campground. You will deliver a modern menu to guests, players, families and events, while maintaining high food standards and a welcoming atmosphere.

The role requires hands-on leadership of the cafe team through busy dinner services, with opportunities to engage regular customers and support barista and bar work as needed across the facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospitality facility.
• Completed traineeship as qualified cook.
• Excellent communication with staff and clients.
• Experience with large group catering (up to 120 pax).
• Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
• Current National Police Check, CPR and First Aid Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean sanitised operation and food safety program.
• Coordinates stock ordering, prep and storage across spaces.
• Prepares food to standard recipes and portions.
• Minimise wastage of products and utilities.
• Maintains equipment to regulatory standards.
• Keeps stock levels aligned with forecasted operations.
• Creates specialty dishes from slow-moving stock.
• Assists with groups and larger bookings; coordinates with caterers.
• Attends internal meetings and client site visits.
