Job summary

Mineral Resources is seeking an experienced Manager Mine Planning – Iron Ore to lead two-year, five-year and Life-of-Mine plans. Reporting to the General Manager Studies and Planning, you’ll head a high-performing team delivering strategic planning, capital allocation and execution certainty for our iron ore business.

You’ll drive governance, data and technology improvements, while shaping studies and problem solving to achieve value-driven mining outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Geology or related technical discipline.
• AusIMM membership or equivalent professional recognition.
• Competent Person for Ore Reserve reporting capability.
• Proven senior mine-planning or technical leadership experience.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong knowledge of bulk commodity supply chains and strategic mine planning.
• Experience contributing to studies, approvals, technology implementation or data-system improvements.
• Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of mine planning professionals.
• Design and oversee mine-planning practices, policies and governance.
• Deliver actionable planning insights to executive leadership.
• Champion governance, project custodianship and integration with boards.
• Ensure the quality and use of geology and planning data, models.
• Drive best-practice optimisation processes and reconciliation.
• Provide strategic direction for studies and problem solving.
• Act as the Competent Person for Ore Reserve reporting.
• Identify and manage planning, technical, environmental and execution risks.
• Contribute to the mine planning and operations technology roadmap.
