Job summary

Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes) is seeking an experienced Strategic Senior Mine Planning Engineer to lead life-of-mine planning, pit optimisation and strategic studies across our Lithium operations.

You will shape planning outcomes, assess risks and opportunities, and provide high-quality technical advice to support major business decisions, working across resource, processing, approvals and project teams.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering.
Significant experience in strategic mine planning and Life of Mine planning.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence decisions.
Experience delivering technical studies and investment-quality mine planning outcomes.

Responsibilities

Lead pit optimisation, pit shell selection and Life of Mine planning for Lithium operations.
Develop strategic mine designs, including ultimate pits and layouts.
Maintain mining models and planning assumptions with updated data.
Deliver scenario analyses and technical studies for project approvals and reserves reporting.
Identify and develop solutions for strategic risks, constraints and value opportunities.
Integrate rehabilitation, closure and approvals requirements into mine plans.
