Job summary

Public Sector People is partnering with a Regional Council in Caboolture to recruit an Investigations Officer on a temporary contract. You will undertake investigations into breaches of state legislation and local laws, conduct inspections, collect evidence, and prepare technical reports and briefs to support enforcement and prosecutions.

This role offers an ASAP start, a pay rate of $42–$55 per hour plus 12% super, weekly payroll, and includes a vehicle and uniform.

Qualifications

• Background in investigations or law enforcement.
• Experience with council or government preferred.
• Tertiary qualification or Certificate IV in Government Investigations.

Public Sector Peopleare working with a Regional Council who are seeking an Investigations Officeron a unique temp contract (+ extension / Direct appointment.)

Supporting the Investigations & Audits Coordinator, City Standards and Regulation,you will undertake a range of investigative activities relating to alleged breaches of state legislation and local laws. You will conduct inspections, gather and assess evidence, prepare technical reports and briefs, support enforcement and prosecution activities, and provide clear advice to stakeholders.

This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, delivering effective community outcomes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of investigative processes and service delivery.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Undertake investigations and collate evidence for the purpose of identifying legislative and local law offences and progressing any associated enforcement action.
• Knowledge of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of what constitutes professional, safe, and situation-appropriate healthcare practices to determine the appropriateness of a health service provider's course of action or performance standards. (Accountability)
• Prepare a range of documents, technical reports, and briefs of evidence to support the progression of Court and Tribunal related enforcement actions.
