Job summary

Public Sector People is assisting a Regional Council in Caboolture to recruit an Investigations Officer on a temporary contract, with possibility of extension or direct appointment. The role involves conducting investigations into breaches of state legislation and local laws and preparing briefs and evidence for enforcement.

You will work with the Investigations & Audits Coordinator, enjoy weekly pay, vehicle and uniform provided, and start ASAP.

Job description

Public Sector People are working with a Regional Council who are seeking an Investigations Officer on a unique temp contract (+ extension / Direct appointment.)

Supporting the Investigations & Audits Coordinator, City Standards and Regulation, you will undertake a range of investigative activities relating to alleged breaches of state legislation and local laws. You will conduct inspections, gather and assess evidence, prepare technical reports and briefs, support enforcement and prosecution activities, and provide clear advice to stakeholders.

This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, delivering effective community outcomes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of investigative processes and service delivery.

Full Job Description

• ASAP START
• Pay rates $42 - $55 p/h + 12 Super | Weekly pay
• Regional Council - Caboolture
• Vehicle and uniform provided
• Initial contract until 28th February (+ extension or direct appointment)

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Undertake investigations and collate evidence for the purpose of identifying legislative and local law offences and progressing any associated enforcement action.
• Knowledge of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of what constitutes professional, safe, and situation-appropriate healthcare practices to determine the appropriateness of a health service provider’s course of action or performance standards. (Accountability)
• Prepare a range of documents, technical reports, and briefs of evidence to support the progression of Court and Tribunal related enforcement actions.
