Job summary

Hardware & General is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee stock control and inventory accuracy across Brookvale and other H&G sites. The role combines cycle counts, replenishment, and warehouse operations, working with Purchasing, Sales, and Finance to keep stock levels optimal.

You will manage stock performance, improve processes, and ensure compliance with safety standards while travelling between branches as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' experience in inventory, stock control or warehouse operations.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Good Excel skills and ability to prepare inventory reports.
• Current NSW driver's licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Experience in building supplies or hardware is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stock control and inventory accuracy across all H&G sites.
• Coordinate cycle counts, stocktakes and end-of-financial-year stocktakes.
• Investigate stock discrepancies, damaged goods, shrinkage and write-offs.
• Monitor stock levels and manage replenishment, min/max levels and reorder points.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to plan orders and maintain stock availability.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and improve turnover.
• Oversee goods receipt and ensure deliveries are checked.
• Coordinate inter-branch stock transfers to optimise availability.
• Support efficient picking, packing, storage and dispatch processes.
• Ensure warehouse layouts support safe, efficient storage of building materials.
