Job summary

GiF Marketing Solutions is seeking an organised Inventory Controller based at our Truganina facility, with 6am–2:30pm Mon–Thu and an early finish Friday. You will perform daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and liaise with staff to meet customer stocktake requirements.

Role requires High Risk Work Licence, counterbalance/high reach MHE, and proficiency in Excel/Outlook. On-site parking and a brand-new facility are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control or stock management.
• High Risk Work Licence and forklift qualifications.
• Physically fit for pallet handling and manual tasks.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Able to work in a collaborative team.
• OH&S compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate stock discrepancies to resolution.
• Carry out daily cycle counts and reconcile with WMS.
• Report daily to stakeholders on count anomalies.
• Coordinate and guide staff on customer stocktake requirements.
• Review pick data and suggest pick face changes.
• Monitor shared Inventory Team inbox and respond to queries.
• Assist Inventory Manager in organising people and equipment.
• Investigate root causes of inventory issues and propose solutions.
• Develop and implement new processes and procedures as needed.
• Follow all OH&S requirements.

The opportunity

GiF Marketing Solutions provides retail services to several of Australia’s major retailers. We believe great people build great businesses, and we’re looking for an organised, detail-focused Inventory Controller to join our team. The role is 6am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish Friday based in our new Truganina facility.

What you’ll do

• Investigate stock discrepancies to resolution
• Carry out daily cycle counts and reconcile the results against WMS
• Report daily to key stakeholders on count anomalies, both those resolved and those still under investigation
• Coordinate and guide staff and stakeholders on customer stocktake requirements (annual, semi-annual and quarterly)
• Review pick data and recommend pick face location changes
• Monitor the shared Inventory Team inbox and help respond to queries
• Help the Inventory Manager organise people, equipment and machinery to meet customer deadlines
• Investigate the root cause of inventory issues and propose solutions
• Develop and implement new processes and procedures where needed
• Follow all OH&S requirements

About you

• Previous experience in inventory control or stock management
• High Risk Work Licence. Experience in operating both counterbalance and high reach MHE
• EWP licence would be highly regarded but not essential
• Physically fit with the ability to wrap and strap pallets, use a pallet jack and undertake manual handling of lighter weight stock
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
