Job summary

Sydney Tools is seeking an Inventory Assistant at our Riverwood Head Office to support product and inventory accuracy across the business. The role involves data entry, catalog maintenance and collaboration with Marketing, Accounts Payable and Merchandising.

You will upload new products, manage stocktakes, generate inventory reports and assist with purchase orders, using Excel, Word and our internal systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in an Inventory Assistant, Inventory Administration or similar role.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong data entry and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to assist across different areas of the business.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Upload new products, maintain product information, update pricing and archive discontinued products within our inventory system.
• Stock Control: Process stocktake information across our store network and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain inventory reports for management and relevant departments.
• Purchase Orders: Assist with the creation, processing and management of purchase orders.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records and complete regular data entry using Microsoft Excel, Word and internal systems.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Accounts Payable and other internal teams to ensure inventory information remains accurate and up to date.
• General Administration: Provide additional administrative and inventory support to management as required.
