Job summary

TLE Belconnen is seeking an enthusiastic Internal Sales Representative to support our busy sales team in Canberra. You’ll handle day-to-day inquiries from regular trade customers, source products and ensure they receive reliable service.

Experience in sales or customer service or electrical wholesale is helpful but not essential; we provide training and a supportive environment. Join a national network with local team energy.

• Customer service or sales experience is a plus, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries in person, by phone and email.
• Prepare quotations and process sales orders.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and new trade customers.
• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, stock availability, and inquiries.
• Liaise with suppliers and assist with purchasing and sourcing products.
• Coordinate customer orders with external sales, purchasing and warehouse teams.
• Follow up quotations and orders to ensure timely outcomes.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records in the system.
• Contribute to branch sales through proactive service and product knowledge.

You’ll be working with a great mix of regular trade customers, helping with their day-to-day enquiries, sourcing products and making sure they receive the service they can count on.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of a team, takes pride in their work and is willing to get involved wherever needed.

Experience in sales, customer service or electrical wholesale would be great, but it's not essential. If you've got the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we're happy to provide the training and support to help you succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Internal Sales Representative, you’ll play an important role in supporting our customers and the day-to-day operations of our sales team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Responding to customer enquiries in person, over the phone and via email, providing professional and timely service.
• Preparing quotations, processing sales orders and ensuring customer requirements are accurately recorded.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new trade customers.
• Assisting customers with product selection, pricing, stock availability and general enquiries.
• Liaising with suppliers and assisting with purchasing and sourcing products to meet customer requirements.
• Working closely with our external sales, purchasing and warehouse teams to coordinate customer orders and deliveries.
• Following up outstanding quotations, customer enquiries and orders to ensure timely outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate customer and sales records within our business systems.
• Contributing to branch sales performance through proactive customer service, product knowledge and teamwork.

About You

• Previous sales, customer service or trade industry experience is highly regarded, with electrical wholesale experience an advantage.
