Job summary

Rexel Australia, a global electrical wholesale leader, seeks an enthusiastic Internal Sales professional for the Adelaide CBD branch on a 12-month maternity leave contract through October 2027. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling orders and enquiries with a focus on service quality and product knowledge.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will build relationships, upsell where appropriate, and collaborate with warehouse and external sales teams to ensure smooth order

Qualifications

• Experience in internal sales or customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well in a team and use sales systems.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders, quotes and enquiries accurately.

Join our Adelaide City branch on a 12-month maternity leave contract, running through to October 2027.

Rexel is a global leader in electrical wholesale, supporting electricians, contractors and businesses with the products, expertise and service they need to get the job done. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Internal Sales professional to join our team at our Adelaide CBD branch, right in the heart of the city.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their sales career with a global business, or an experienced internal sales professional seeking a great next step.

A typical day will involve

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing outstanding service and product advice both over the counter and over the phone. Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing customer orders, quotes and enquiries accurately and efficiently
• Providing product knowledge and technical advice to trade and commercial customers
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
• Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products
• Working closely with the warehouse and external sales teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment
• Maintaining accurate records in our internal systems
• Supporting a positive, team-focused branch environment

Qualifications

You are a motivated and personable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced customer service environment. Ideally, you will bring:

• Previous experience in internal sales, customer service, or a trade/wholesale environment (electrical industry experience highly regarded but not essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• Good computer literacy and comfort using sales/ordering systems
• The ability to work well within a team
