Job summary

Rexel Australia is seeking a customer-focused team member to support day-to-day branch operations in a busy warehouse and sales environment.

You will engage with electrical trades and commercial customers in-store, by phone and via email, assist with quotes, orders and stock management, and contribute to a safe, well-organized showroom and warehouse setting. A forklift licence is desirable and a driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, internal sales, retail, trade counter, warehousing or storeperson roles preferred.
• Enthusiastic, friendly and confident engaging with customers.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to a wide range of electrical trades and commercial customers.
• Assist customers in showroom, over the phone and via email.
• Respond to customer enquiries, prepare quotes and process sales orders.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to recommend products and solutions.
• Support the sales team with product availability, pricing, order updates and follow-up.
• Process and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive, check and book in incoming stock and purchase orders.
• Pick and pack customer orders.
• Load and unload deliveries safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist stocktakes.
• Keep showroom, warehouse and surrounding areas clean, safe and well organized.
• Complete deliveries in a safe and courteous manner while following road rules.
• Contribute to safety culture and follow workplace health and safety procedures.

Job Description

This varied role will suit someone who enjoys working with customers, has an interest in sales, and is happy to support the day-to-day operations of a busy branch.

You will work closely with our customers and branch team to provide exceptional service, while also supporting our warehouse and delivery functions.

A typical day will involve:

• Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to a wide range of electrical trades and commercial customers
• Assisting customers in the showroom, over the phone and via email
• Responding to customer enquiries, preparing quotes and processing sales orders
• Building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities to recommend suitable products and solutions
• Supporting the sales team with product availability, pricing, order updates and follow-up
• Processing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Receiving, checking and booking in incoming stock and purchase orders
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Loading and unloading deliveries safely
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting stocktakes
• Keeping the showroom, warehouse and surrounding areas clean, safe and well organised
• Completing deliveries in a safe and courteous manner while complying with all road rules
• Contributing to our strong safety culture and following all workplace health and safety procedures

Qualifications

You may have previous experience in a customer service, internal sales, retail, trade counter, warehousing or storeperson role. Experience in electrical wholesale, hardware, building supplies or a related industry would be advantageous, but it is not essential.

You will also need:

• A current driver’s licence and a clean driving record
• A current forklift licence, or a willingness to obtain one — desirable
