Job summary

Veterinary Specialists of Sydney (VSOS) is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse to join our busy Internal Medicine team on a full-time basis in Sydney, NSW. You will work closely with specialists, residents and an established nursing team to care for complex medical cases.

The role involves managing inpatients, assisting with advanced diagnostics and procedures, anaesthesia and patient monitoring under specialist guidance, and coordinating multidisciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Veterinary nurse with busy clinical experience.
• Strong patient care and hospital nursing skills.
• Confidence with IV catheter placement, blood collection and medication administration.
• Interest in advanced procedures and learning; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for complex internal medicine patients.
• Assist with advanced diagnostics and procedures under supervision.
• Anaesthesia and monitoring for procedures with specialist guidance.
• Support with ultrasound-guided procedures and biopsies; manage medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with specialists, residents and nursing staff on diagnostic journeys.
