Job summary

UNSW is seeking a Communications Officer (Internal) to support major initiatives and Enterprise Agreement communications. You will collaborate with the Communications Manager (Internal) and deliver engaging content across channels, including Inside UNSW articles and staff emails.

You will ensure messaging accuracy, advise stakeholders on channels, and help manage schedules during periods of change, with a hybrid work arrangement in Kensington, NSW.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, journalism or related discipline.
• Experience delivering communications for significant initiatives and organisational change.
• Ability to optimise channels for audience reach and engagement.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver internal communications for major University initiatives and change programs.
• Develop, edit and distribute high-quality content across channels (articles, emails, scripts).
• Ensure messaging accuracy and consistency across internal channels.
• Advise stakeholders on effective channels and timing for staff communications.
• Coordinate meetings, approvals and publishing schedules.
• Analyze performance data to improve communications impact.
