Job summary

University of New South Wales in Sydney, NSW, invites applications for a Communications Officer (Internal) within the Division of Societal Impact, Equity and Engagement. Hybrid work arrangement available, fixed-term 6 months, full-time.

Reporting to the Communications Manager (Internal), you will develop and edit internal communications, coordinate engagements, and support major university initiatives including Enterprise Agreement bargaining communications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience delivering internal communications across multiple channels.
• Experience handling significant organisational initiatives or change.
• Ability to select and optimise channels to maximise reach and engagement.
• Strong writing and editing skills for diverse staff audiences.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear communications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver internal communications for major university initiatives and change.
• Develop, edit and distribute content for internal channels (articles, emails, scripts).
• Ensure messaging accuracy and consistency across internal channels.
• Advise stakeholders on the most effective channels for staff communications.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, approvals and publishing schedules.
• Analyse performance data to improve internal communications impact.
