Job summary

University of New South Wales (UNSW) is seeking an Communications Officer (Internal) to support trusted corporate communications and deliver University-wide messaging. You will write and disseminate internal stories, develop plans, and partner with stakeholders to ensure staff are engaged across channels.

The role sits in the Corporate Communications team within SIEE, reporting to the Communications Manager (Internal) with no direct reports. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in communications or marketing or equivalent knowledge.
• Experience in developing, delivering and measuring internal communications in a complex organisation.
• Ability to distill complex information into simple messages for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Write and disseminate UNSW stories and messages coordinating and delivering University-wide communications, including Inside UNSW and all-staff emails.
• Create clear, engaging and consistent content that keeps staff informed, connected and engaged.
• Partner with stakeholders across UNSW, providing internal communications advice and selecting effective channels.
• Develop internal communications plans and content translating complex information for diverse audiences.
• Create and maintain internal communications resources and tools to support consistent communications.
• Use insights and data to understand what works and improve reach and impact.
