Job summary

China Merchants Bank is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to join our team in Sydney. You will lead end-to-end, risk-based internal audit engagements across branch operations, designing programs and performing testing to assess control design and effectiveness.

Qualifications

3–5 years audit experience in an Australian ADI, Big 4 bank assurance practice, or international financial institution.
Bachelor degree or above in relevant disciplines.
CA/CPA Australia/CIA certificate is preferred.
In-depth understanding of auditing standards and regulatory framework.
Proven ability to conduct full audit lifecycles independently.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute risk-based internal audit engagements across Branch operations.
Design audit programs and perform testing to evaluate control design and operating effectiveness.
Prepare clear workpapers and draft executive-ready audit reports.
Coordinate with external service providers and internal business units on PBC data.
Maintain centralized tracking of audit issues, remediation milestones and validation tests.
Support Head Office audits with data collation, scheduling and findings clearance discussions.
Deliver bilingual periodic reporting packs to Head Office Internal Audit.
