Job summary

China Construction Bank Corporation invites applications for an Internal Auditor/Senior Internal Auditor in Sydney. The role is full-time and on-site, five days a week, reporting to the Internal Audit Manager and coordinating with Head Office.

You will develop and maintain internal audit policy, manage annual audit plans, oversee outsourced IA activities, and perform regular controls testing and remediation tracking across the branch network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in internal audit or accounting firms.
• Proficient in English and Mandarin.
• Strong analytical thinking and solid understanding of internal controls and risk management frameworks.
• Ability to work independently on internal auditing and manage a heavy workload.
• Capable of introducing new IA programs in a fast-changing environment.
• Exceptional communication and coordination with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist IA Manager with policy/framework development and maintenance.
• Assist with annual audit plan development, including Head Office requirements.
• Support management of outsourced IA provider on regulatory reviews and findings.
• Execute and manage the IA program for the Sydney branch with regular control checks.
• Coordinate with Head Office IA on related matters.
• Handle Head Office reporting and IA communications.
• Review reports from external auditors/regulators and track remediation.
• Report to management on identified control weaknesses.
• Recommend improvements to internal processes.
• Monitor IA findings and remediation effectiveness.
• Track remediation status for regulatory findings and events.
• Provide regular IA reporting to RMC.
• Provide 3rd line assurance and testing for key controls.
• Test IA remedial actions and ensure action implementation.
• Complete ad-hoc IA surveys and reporting to Head Office.
