Job summary

W3Global on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to advance concrete framed structures from concept through detailed design and construction support. The role emphasizes collaboration with internal/external stakeholders and delivering safe, cost-effective outcomes.

With 4+ years of local structural design in the building sector and PE registration, you will contribute to diverse projects, working within a dynamic national consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 4+ years' local structural design experience in the building sector.
• Professional Engineering registration.
• Chartered or RPEQ status desirable.
• Proven track record in project delivery and client-facing roles.
• Proficient in design and analysis software including Inducta Suite (RCB, SLB, PTD), ETABS, RAPT, SpaceGass, RAM.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of lateral stability design for large buildings, including earthquake and wind loading.

About the Role

• Experience in concrete framed structures. Medium to high rise with Precast and Post-tensioned design experience(highly regarded)
• Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders
• Lead small size project lifecycles from concept through to detailed design and construction support, ensuring outcomes are safe, cost-effective, and compliant
• Manage aspects of the design and co-ordination of medium to large projects with support from senior staff

About You

You are a technically proficient and relationship-driven engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.

What you bring

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 4+ years' local structural design experience within the building sector
