Michael Bale & Associates, a Structural & Civil Engineering consultancy, invites an experienced Structural Engineer to join our West End, Brisbane team. You will own projects, manage delivery, and collaborate with drafters and engineers across diverse high-rise and industrial schemes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Structural Engineering (or equivalent) is required or strongly preferred.
• Experience in structural engineering and delivery of projects is desired.
• Willingness to learn in a team environment and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design from concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Oversee construction stage supervision and site inspections.

The Position

This is a full-time position – based out of our West End office.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our experienced team. We seek candidates who have a passion for structural engineering and want to progress their skills, experience and expand their career opportunity.

You will work as part of a motivated team, taking ownership of projects and managing their delivery, as well as working on components of larger projects with the team of drafters and engineers.

You will be involved in design from concept through to detailed design, as well as construction stage supervision, site inspections and client and contractor liaison for successful project delivery.

Our works are primarily large concrete framed structures and towers, so you will predominantly be working in that space, however we work on all project types large and small, with plenty of opportunity to build on your experience through working on concrete, steel, masonry, timber as well as site supervision.

The role has a good balance between design, project coordination and site attendance, meaning every day is different, with opportunities to grow and learn on the job as the projects progress through design and construction.

Training will be provided with the role to ensure upskilling and career progression for the successful candidate who will be supported by senior staff and management.

Qualifications & Experience

Only applicants with the following proven experience and capabilities should apply:

Bachelor of Structural Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience in Structural Engineering is preferred and will attract higher salary based on your experience level.

RPEQ status is highly regarded, however the applicant will need to be eligible to be (4 year degree) and working towards RPEQ Chartered status in the future.

We will consider graduate position if you are graduated or close to graduation from university.
