You will contribute to electrical design across large-scale, technically complex developments and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver construction-ready packages.

Qualifications

About the Company

Our client is a leading, Tier 1 multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with an established presence in Sydney and a strong pipeline of major projects. Working across a range of sectors, including data centres and other complex developments, they are looking to strengthen their electrical building services team with an experienced Intermediate or Senior Electrical Design Engineer. About the Role / Duties

You’ll be involved in the design and delivery of electrical building services across large-scale, technically complex developments. Depending on your experience, responsibilities will include:

• Electrical services design across LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting and associated building systems.
• Producing and reviewing electrical calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
• Working across concept, detailed design and construction documentation stages.
• Coordinating with mechanical, hydraulic, fire and other engineering disciplines.
• Liaising with architects, clients and project stakeholders.
• Supporting junior engineers and designers, with opportunities to lead projects as you progress.
• Contributing to major projects, including data centres and other technically demanding developments.

Skills & Experience

Experience in electrical building services design within an engineering consultancy. Suitable for a strong Intermediate looking to progress or an established Senior Engineer. Experience working on sizeable, technically complex projects. Strong understanding of electrical building services systems and relevant Australian Standards. Experience with electrical design calculations, documentation and multidisciplinary coordination. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams. Data centre experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates with strong general building services experience are encouraged to apply. The consultancy is happy to develop engineers into the data centre sector where they have a solid technical foundation.
