We are working with a Tier 1 engineering consultancy with a long-standing reputation for delivering innovative engineering solutions across Australia. The business works across some of the region's most exciting and technically complex projects. Their portfolio includes hyperscale data centres, airports, stadiums, defence and major infrastructure, with a particularly strong pipeline of work within the data centre sector. They will offer a route into the sectors for interested engineers. With continued growth and major projects ahead, they are looking to strengthen their Sydney mechanical engineering team with an experienced Lead / Principal-level Mechanical Engineer.

About the Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to take a leading role within a high-performing building services team and to develop there experience into large infrastructure projects like data. You will be involved in the design and delivery of large, complex projects, while providing technical leadership and supporting the development of other engineers within the team. A key part of the opportunity is the chance to develop or further strengthen your experience within the data centre sector, working on hyperscale projects alongside experienced engineering professionals. Depending on your level of experience, the role could suit a Senior, Lead or Principal Mechanical Engineer who is ready to take on greater technical responsibility and leadership.

Skills & Experience

We are interested in speaking with Mechanical Engineers who have:

• Strong experience within building services / mechanical design


• Experience working on large and complex projects


• Strong technical design and engineering capability


• Experience leading projects, teams or junior engineers


• The ability to work collaboratively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams


• Experience across sectors such as data centres, airports, stadiums, hospitals or other major infrastructure would be highly regarded


• An interest in developing your career within the data centre and major projects space
