Job summary

Pinstripe Recruitment is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join its Business Services & Tax team in Parramatta. You will work with SME clients, preparing financial statements and tax returns, and supporting BAS/GST/IAS compliance while developing your technical and client-facing skills.

You will be supported by managers and partners, with ongoing professional development and a clear career progression path toward senior roles.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ Australian public practice accounting experience.
• Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns for a range of entity structures.
• Working knowledge of Australian taxation and business services compliance.
• Experience using Xero, MYOB or similar accounting platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Pursuing or completed CA or CPA qualification.
• Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Prepare BAS, GST and IAS returns.
• Assist with taxation and business services compliance across SME clients.
• Complete account reconciliations and support year-end work.
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and respond to queries.
• Use Xero, MYOB and cloud accounting systems.
• Collaborate with senior accountants, managers and partners to deliver timely results.
• Continue developing through training and practical experience.
