Job summary

Public Practice - Accountants in North Sydney NSW is seeking an Intermediate Accountant with 3+ years Australian public practice experience. You will join the Business Services team, preparing financial statements, BAS, IAS, GST, and tax returns while developing your CA or CPA studies alongside seasoned Managers and Partners.

This role offers a salary of $75,000–$90,000 plus super, work from home one day each week, flexible hours, modern harbour-view offices, and ongoing career development

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an Australian public practice firm.
• Currently studying CA or CPA (CA preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Interest in long-term public practice career and progression.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Experience with MYOB AE and Class is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for clients.
• Prepare BAS, IAS and GST compliance.
• Prepare detailed workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Assist with year-end tax planning and other compliance matters.
• Liaise with clients and the ATO when required.
• Assist senior team members with managing client portfolios.
• Develop technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
• Work with Managers and Partners across a diverse client base.
