Job summary

Kelly+Partners in Leeton/Narrandera region is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our supportive team. The role provides mentoring from Partners and senior staff, with opportunities to grow your practice portfolio across individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs.

You will build financial statements and tax returns, manage BAS and payroll tax filings, and engage with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes. A strong accounting foundation and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in an Accounting Practice.
• Working towards your Chartered Accountant qualification, or keen to get started.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar.
• Comfortable with accounting software, such as APS, MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks.
• A confident communicator, both written and verbal.
• Naturally organised with a great eye for detail.
• Warm, customer-focused and positive in your approach.
• Genuinely care about doing great work for your clients.
• Proactive, self-motivated and always happy to pitch in.
• Excited to keep learning and growing your career.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner.
• Take the lead in preparing Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts.
• Prepare and deliver annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations.
• Be coached directly by an experienced Partner with the aim to manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients.
• Help provide an exceptional service to our clients.
• Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events.
• Offer support and training to junior team members.
