Job summary

ABRS is seeking an experienced Interim Manager, Children & Families Programs to lead two established service streams for an initial 10–12 week engagement in Sydney. The role requires steering multidisciplinary teams, ensuring trauma-informed and family-centred delivery, and driving outcomes against KPIs.

You will oversee a mix of experienced practitioners and a newly formed family-focused team with strong support from management and administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or related discipline.
• Demonstrated formal leadership and people management experience within a relevant children, families, community services or early intervention program.
• Experience leading practitioners delivering services to children and whole families.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day leadership, guidance and oversight to multidisciplinary children and family services teams.
• Supporting practitioners to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed and family-centred services.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to build capability and confidence.
• Ensuring programs are delivered in line with organisational policies, relevant legislation, contractual requirements and best practice.
• Monitoring program performance, KPIs, outcomes and service delivery against agreed targets.
• Supporting teams to work effectively with children, young people and their families using a whole-of-family approach.
• Monitoring and contributing to program logic, outcomes measurement and reporting.
• Identifying and addressing operational risks, service delivery issues and emerging practice needs.
• Supporting effective stakeholder relationships and collaborative practice across internal and external services.
• Providing regular reporting and updates to the Executive Manager.
