Job summary

ABRS is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join a growing community-based service supporting individuals and families experiencing complex needs in Western Sydney. You will lead a team of practitioners, providing operational oversight and workforce support in a values-driven environment.

This pivotal role offers strong supervision, professional development, and a collaborative leadership culture as the service expands, with SCHADS, salary packaging and a vehicle included.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology and professional association membership.
• Demonstrated team leadership with supervision and performance management experience.
• Experience applying therapeutic approaches with individuals, couples, families and/or young people.
• Understanding of co-morbidities, addictions and/or gambling counselling.
• Current NSW Driver Licence and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of practitioners to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred services.
• Provide day-to-day operational oversight and ensure service delivery meets relevant standards.
• Provide supervision, performance development and workforce support.
• Support staff wellbeing within a fast-paced and emotionally demanding environment.
• Contribute to service development, continuous improvement and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Promote inclusive, culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice.
• Work closely with managers and senior leaders during a period of service growth.
