Job summary

East Gippsland Water is seeking an Integrated Water Management Officer to coordinate IWM initiatives across the East Gippsland region, working closely with local government, water authorities, Traditional Owners and regional partners to improve water outcomes for communities and the environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate collaboration between councils, water corporations, Traditional Owners, CMAs and state agencies.
  • Provide advice to support IWM Forum objectives and priorities.
  • Assist with planning, design and delivery of collaborative IWM projects.
  • Develop funding applications, project budgets, risk registers and supporting documentation.
  • Support grant submissions on behalf of IWM Forum member organisations.
  • Ensure projects deliver environmental, social, cultural, community and economic benefits.
  • Support implementation of regional IWM strategies and funded programs.
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on project progress, budgets, outcomes and funded activities.
  • Provide administrative support, including meeting coordination and grant administration.
  • Maintain high-quality, timely work and a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

About the role

The Integrated Water Management Officer supports the coordination and delivery of integrated water management initiatives across the East Gippsland region on behalf of the Integrated Water Management (IWM) Forum and its member organisations. Working closely with local government, water authorities, Traditional Owners and other regional partners, the role helps drive collaborative projects and activities that improve water outcomes for communities, the environment and the region.

This role contributes to the development of shared regional initiatives by identifying funding opportunities, supporting grant applications and helping secure investment for priority projects. The Integrated Water Management Officer also assists with the delivery and reporting of funded programs, facilitates collaboration across partner organisations, and supports the successful implementation of projects that deliver lasting environmental, social and economic benefits for East Gippsland.

Key Responsibilities
