Job summary

WorkSafe Victoria is seeking a senior leader to oversee and coordinate complex legislative and regulatory reform programs across OHS, dangerous goods, and workers’ compensation frameworks. The role focuses on an integrated reform program with a launch in April 2028, while also contributing to divisional planning and governance.

Qualifications

• Organised and strategic leader with stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
• Ability to navigate complex environments and influence across business areas.
• Experience coordinating large-scale programs with multiple dependencies.
• Strong governance, reporting and decision-making capabilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate complex legislative and regulatory reform programs, starting with OHS and dangerous goods.
• Establish an integrated program plan covering policy finalisation, drafting, RIS development, and approvals.
• Coordinate contributions across LPIS managers and product owners and monitor progress.
• Establish internal project governance with risk, issue management and escalation pathways.
• Coordinate LPIS input to enterprise governance forums.
• Identify risks and critical-path issues and advise the Director and management team.
• Manage business planning, resourcing, budget cycle and procurement activities for the Division.
• Coach and mentor junior staff.
