Evolution Mining is recruiting a Mining Engineer – Integrated Planning to develop medium-term mine plans across open pit and underground operations at Cowal. You’ll influence safety, production and business performance while gaining exposure to design, scheduling, forecasting, and optimisation within a Deswik environment.

Based at Cowal Operations with a 5:2/4:3 roster and hybrid arrangements, this role offers regional NSW exposure and career growth through diverse mining methods and planning

Qualifications

• Experience within mine planning, mining studies or technical services environments.
• Mine design and scheduling experience, ideally within a metals mining operation.
• Strong Deswik capability and experience working within planning and scheduling systems.
• Strong analytical and problem solving capability with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and operational teams.
• A genuine interest in continuous improvement, optimisation and technical planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop practical mine designs and schedules that support safe, efficient and value-driven mining outcomes.
• Influence business decisions through scenario modelling, forecasting and optimisation studies.
• Partner with operational, geology, geotechnical and planning teams to align plans with site objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen planning systems, forecasting processes and operational performance.
